People First of Henry County

People First of Henry County is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Our mission is to promote fairness and equality for people with mental and/or physical disabilities. We offer free social events year-round for families with children and adults of all ages with special needs. Over the past 18 years, through fundraising, grants, and donations, we have serviced over 1,000 families within Henry, Clayton, Fayette, Spalding, and Butts Counties. 100% of all money raised goes directly back to the special needs community.

People First Directors Melissa Howard and Pamela Young volunteer year-round with no salary. Our founding Directors are Connie Dodgen and Joan Angelini.

For 18 years, People First has hosted an annual "Extra Special Easter Party" and fall festival as well as hosting various other group outings including Atlanta Dream games, plays by The Henry Players, Atlanta Braves games, race day at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Macon Bacon baseball games. We also host events locally such as Bingo night to win prizes, an Elvis 50's party, paint parties, and countless other special events. All People First events are FREE to the families.
